I was reading that Diamonds are not nearly as desired as they once were. It seems that Gold is what people are seeking more of these days and the Diamond is on the down slide. I never thought I would see that day when a 1 Karat diamond would lose to 1 ounce of gold.

Just out of curiosity, where did you read this? I'd love to read the article as well. Interesting turn of events though. I'm really good friends with a lot of people who work (or have worked) for a jewelry store in the Seattle area and I bet they would find this interesting. From what I've seen when I go in there, diamonds are still in big demand. I prefer the smaller diamonds than the big flashy ones. For instance, I have a ring on right now that has a love knot and a single diamond in it.
