Florida was complaining that Maude's house was too loud because of all the arguments and Maude told her

"If you want peace and quiet then go work for the Partridge Family"

They had a quiet household?-lol

Well, just a guess, but I would think she meant that the Partridge family were hardly home so Florida would be left alone in peace and quiet.

I GOT it! Even with all their singing and rehearsals, compared to Maude's house, the Partridge Family was quieter [as would have been a bowling alley or blast furnace] ! Not to mention, even when they had differences of opinion, they may have raised their voices a little but they didn't outrightly scream in each others' faces like Maude did! It's interesting to note that several real life teens actually ran away to Shirley Jones's house so they could become part of the Partridges but I never heard of anyone running away to Bea Arthur's house to become a Findlay!
