Nigel Lythoe Returns to "American Idol"

Nigel Lythgoe is returning as executive producer for "American Idol's" next season, E! News reports.
The long negotiations with the "So You Think You Can Dance" judge have left production of the series "way behind normal schedule." Now that Lythgoe's officially back, his first order of business is to "lock in judges."
Those rumored to join Mariah Carey as judges have included Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Nick Jonas, Adam Lambert, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias.
Hopefully, Lythgoe's return will signal a quick end to these rumors and give us some fun, fresh faces at the judging table when Idol returns in January.
