Maulik Pancholy Reprising "30 Rock" Role for Final Season

"Whitney" may be down one series regular, but "30 Rock's" Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) is getting back a doting assistant.
A NBC rep confirms that Maulik Pancholy won't be returning with "Whitney" when its sophomore season bows this fall, as first reported by TV Guide. The actor, who played Neal on Whitney Cummings' comedy, will instead return in a recurring capacity to "30 Rock" for its final run.
Pancholy has been in 58 episodes of "30 Rock" since first appearing as Jack's obsessive assistant Jonathan in the series' pilot. Other than his awkward devotion to Jack, Jonathan has probably been best known for his attempts to sabotage Tina Fey's Liz Lemon.
He last appeared in the season five finale 'Respawn'.
