Happy 63rd Birthday to Shelley Long! I cannot imagine how anyone else could have performed one of the all-time great female roles in TV comedy, as damn-funny and complicated a character as was ever seen in sitcoms.
It is also almost unbelievable that we are nearly at the 30th anniversary of the Cheers! debut of September 30, 1982. I was 16: where has my youth gone?
