I'm sure you're aware of the TV show "Modern Family". For the longest time I thought you were the executive producer until I did my research and found out it's another Christopher Lloyd.
I often have people come up to me and say, "I just love 'Modern Family.'" Ninety percent of the time I tell them that it's not me.
Once in a while, when I'm in a mood, I let it lie and take credit. [Laughs]

If I am not mistaken, there is a Screen Actors Guild rule that every actor has to have a different name so to avoid confusion like this. William H. Macy instead of Bill Macy because there is already a Bill Macy (the husband from Maude). Tim Conway's real first name is "Tom", but that was already taken so he became Tim.
I guess the rule does not apply to producers, directors, etc.

With his sense of humor, I would believe he would be on any show he pleases!

Mary Moore added Tyler to her name because there was already a Mary Moree in the Screen Actors Guild.

I wonder if he smokes marijuana? Although the Reverend Jim character was way out there and exaggerated, Lloyd knew how to play stoned. He is also an old dude with long hair which suggests pot use.
Dunno though.

Mary Moore added Tyler to her name because there was already a Mary Moree in the Screen Actors Guild.
There were already 2 Peter Bergmans so the one actor shortened his name to Peter Berg.

For many years there was a comic book editor for Marvel by the name of Ralph Macchio who I thought was the actor of the same name from The Karate Kid movies.

I've wondered about this too and always thought it was Christopher Lloyd the actor, I didn't realize that Christopher Lloyd the writer/producer was a different person.
I remember Christopher Lloyd the producer/writer wrote some episodes of Cheers. And then Christopher Lloyd the actor guest starred in one episode. He was an artist who comes in the bar and sees Diane and has an instant attraction to her and wants to paint her portrait. But like I said I always thought it was Christopher Lloyd the actor producing and writing but now I know. Thanks for the information.
