Wasn't sure where to post this, but I think this is exciting news. Both because of his return AND because this is the first good decision I've seen NBC make all year. Also, creator of Arrested Development. I need say no more.

NBC has landed the Michael J. Fox derby. The actor will make his triumphant return to full-time series TV in fall 2013, starring in a new single-camera comedy for the network. In order to land the show, NBC gave a 22-episode committment to ...a new series before ever seeing an inch of film. The new show will be loosely based on Fox and his own life (including his battle with Parkinson's).

Will Gluck (“Friends with Benefits” “The Loop”) and Sam Laybourne (“Cougar Town,” “Arrested Development”) will create the show.

"To bring Michael J. Fox back to NBC is a supreme honor and we are thrilled that one of the great comedic television stars is coming home again," said NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt. "From the moment we met with Michael to hear his unique point of view about this new show, we were completely captivated and on board. He is utterly relatable, optimistic, and in a class by himself, and I have no doubt that the character he will create – and the vivid family characters surrounding him – will be both instantly recognizable and hilarious. Being in business with him is a supreme pleasure."
