View Full Version : Anyone ever find BLOOPERS????? Barnabas1 02-01-2002, 08:28 AM :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Did you??? Joicetti 02-01-2002, 01:46 PM I think many have been discussed on this board before but one new one that I recently found was in "Vacation from Marriage." When Fred exits in the first scene after he's done his whole glasses on top of his head thing, he walks out the kitchen door towards the audience, supposedly going back to his apartment. Then the shot then goes to Ricky walking in the living room so that they can follow Ricky's repetitive morning behavior. When the shot goes back to Lucy and Ethel in the kitchen, you can see Bill Frawley sneeking back towards the back of the set through the kitchen window. He's opening a door or something to go backstage I guess. So, I don't know if that counts as a blooper or not, but honestly I found it surprising that a show as meticulously acted and produced as ILL was would leave that in. Perhaps Bill didn't know he'd be in the shot or the camera was too far over or whatever, but there it is... I'll have to look closely the next time I see that episode. dawsongirl 02-01-2002, 11:28 PM Gee Joy, I never noticed that either and it's one of my fav episodes. Cool! :) Joicetti 02-02-2002, 01:20 AM I just thought of another one (and this one's probably me being picky more than anything else! :) ): In the Operetta, after the scenery starts being dismantled by the unpaid prop guys, look to the left of the screen where the actors are exiting and enterting the stage. Everyone's sort of running around and then Ricky comes out for a second when they're pulling off his pants. Right then an extra is standing to the left still backstage waiting for her turn to come out. You can basically see her waiting for her cue in full view. I suspect she realized this because it seems as though she tries to stand back and bury herself next to the wall for a second before Desi gets off stage and she goes on. Btw, she also hits Desi twice as she goes on stage and he goes off - first with one hand on his lower back and then the second time seemingly on his butt with the other hand! Then she comes out and she's the girl who hits Lucy, causing her to drop the rock on her foot. She then proceeds to run across stage trying to stay out of the clutches of the prop guys! So how's that for being picky? :) Seriously, I guess it's a pet peeve of mine, since I think acting should start and end from the time you enter and *fully* exit the stage. That means that if you're standing in a doorway and you've gone over the threshold (thus off set) but you haven't turned out of the camera's/audience's view, then you should still be in character. I've seen plays where a person's not even off stage yet let alone out of the audience's sight and they go out of character and back to real life. With that extra in ILL, we're supposed to believe that she's being chased by prop guys, and yet there she is *waiting* in full view for her turn to come out. I don't think I ever saw any of the main four do this but the same can't be said of their extra players... dawsongirl 02-02-2002, 01:22 PM That I have seen! I kept thinking, "We can see you!!" DandR 02-02-2002, 11:31 PM A very obvious and probably before mentioned blooper is from the LDCH "Celebrity Next Door" episode. After fighting with Talulah in the kitchen, Lucy storms out the door (which has no glass panes, but is supposed to) and brushes against the scenery. This causes a wavy looking backdrop or "earthquake". LOL |
