Do not trade with this guy insearchofjohnny (Allen Glines) he only sent me data discs with a letter saying these discs will not play on a dvd player. He never mentioned he was sending those after 7 or 8 emails we exchanged. Also the discs are blank. So just a warning to everyone so they don't get screwed too.

He emailed me saying he was gonna make it right. I told him I will give him a chance.

thanks for the info camaroman. I'm sorry you've had such bad luck lately.

A few days ago, I ended trade negotiations with Allen Glines and, after reading this, I'm glad I did. Just wasn't getting a good vibe off him. He sent me an e-mail looking to trade. After some wrangling, I finally managed to get him to e-mail me his have list. His have list looked very, very familiar to me and I swear I've seen it before. I asked him some questions on a few items and got some vague answers back. Since this person was brand new to the community, I offered a small trade to start with, and then if things went well, possibly a larger trade down the road. He said he wanted to wait until I was available for a large trade, he wanted a ton of things from me. Well I wasn't keen on that and then he started sending me a lot of e-mails and I just got annoyed with him and declined. At the very least, I would caution anyone entering a trade insearchofjohnny to make him send first. He's brand new to this site and he has no positive feedback here. I have huge doubts that he even has any of the things he claims.

I'm pretty sure Allen Glines is now going by the name "Bob Chob" aka utahvideotrader(@gmail.com). Very suspicious behavior.

I finally did get the discs but whoever he got them from downloaded the shows from youtube.

Wiseguy1982 - I have no idea what you're talking about.

Stuff happens. I have learned as I have gone through this process of becoming a video trader. I wanted to make sure Camaroman had working discs. I was disappointed that the original ones didn't work.

I haven't had access to this account pretty much since shortly after it was started. I have no idea how anything that lead to this negative feedback happened. Could mods please delete this thread to allow me to start from scratch?

so just to clarify - did you originally send camaroman data disks that you either knew from the outset would not play or were possibly blank, and then eventually sent replacement disks that contained material exclusively downloaded from youtube?

It was definitely not my intention. Someone has been misrepresenting me on this count ever since it started. I only recently regained control of this account.

I discussed this matter with my imposter and he said that he intended for the original data discs to work and tested them before they were sent. In response to Camaroman's original complaint, he sent out additional discs filled with material that he thought was unique, but was loaded with stuff that just so happened to be on YouTube.

Essentially, this complaint should be dismissed for the simple fact that I was not in control of my account when the actions that resulted in it were committed by a third party. Also, it was not the intention of the sender of the discs to provide Camaroman with blank or nonfunctional data discs and certainly not a trade filled with YouTube content. Camaroman overreacted after he received the data discs and posted this complaint, resulting in further complaints that were also the product of overreacting and thus without merit.

Let me make sure I understand this correctly. You set-up a trade with Camaroman and an impostor claiming to be you got access to your sitcomsonline account and while impersonating you, fulfilled your end of the agreement by sending data discs which caused a complaint against you? You stated in another thread to be a victim of identity theft but I seriously doubt that anyone is going to waste their time hacking into your S.O. account, claim to be you and just happen to have the exact thing you were supposed to send to Camaroman. If I've misunderstood anything you've said then I apologize but something doesn't seem quite right about all this.

I set up insearchofjohnny awhile back. A jilted former associate of mine knew the sites I went to and was somehow able to access my usernames and passwords. They also stole my mailbox key when I wasn't looking and made a copy of it before they returned it without me knowing. It really was more of a case of someone wanting to mess with me and misrepresent me than traditional identity theft. Surprisingly, it seemed like the impostor was trying to make a good faith effort to ensure everyone's happiness.

This all seems really strange.

So is it safe to assume that I should be expecting some youtube rips in our trade. WOW!

do you have anything to corroborate your story, such as posts that were made by this other person that I could cross-check the IP addresses, or emails that I could trace the header information, or even receipts or tracking #'s from the packages that were sent?

its not that I don't believe you - but it all seems very strange; and unless there is something that gives a concrete explanation behind all of this, I would rather leave any feedback about the situation intact - it does serve as a warning to anyone else to use caution.

...and if this other person was able to access all of your accounts and everything else so easily, who's to say that they can't do it again?

If you are scamming people and looking to rip people off its my opinion that your name shouldnt be removed it should be left so that other people know not to deal with you. Especially if and when you come back under a different screen name.

I am not scamming anyone. Everyone I have dealt with has received legitimate material. I am tired of trying to explain a legitimate situation to get an overreaction reversed. I want my name removed because I guarantee I'm not coming back to this site again. Why would I?

That's really unfair, you can't assume that all traders online are going to cheat you based on the actions of one person. There are plenty of people that post here that have excellent reputations and if they didn't they wouldn't be allowed to trade in this forum. Do you buy anything on eBay or Amazon or do you quake in your boots at the thought of that as well?

I just dont take no chances when it comes to buying from someone I dont know in person sparky, and that includes you. And I guess I do quake In my boots when it comes to eBay and Amazon, I dont like the idea of putting my debit card number out there in cyber space where you dont know who can get a hold of it. Just the way I am big boy, deal with it!

You run the risk of having your credit/debit card hacked no matter if you use it online or at Walmart. Let me ask you this, if you offered something for sale in your local paper, would you have any problem selling it to a person you don't know? And while we're at it, don't call me Sparky nor use this attitude towards me again.

Bob Chob is now e-mailing people under the e-mail address "jackiegleasonfan@gmail.com" This guy just does not get the message. I think his non-stop e-mails/PM's to people that clearly aren't interested could be classified as stalker/harasser behavior.

I'm gone from this site, but I am subscribed to this thread and I receive comments when people decide to post in it again. This is crap, seriously. Stop it.
