Wow! I didn't know he was only 42. My favorite Elvis song would have to be Jail house rock.Teddy bear is a close second.

I was in the car with my mom at a strip mall. We were either leaving or going to a particular store when it came on the radio and she cried. I wasn't into Elvis at all back then, so I didn't care either way.

I was playing kick ball in front of my house, with other neighborhood kids when another kid come over and told us. We couldnt believe it.

I was in the den playing on the floor. The tv was on and the news was coming on. It was the headline. My parents were next door at the neighbor's house. I ran over to tell them. It's hard to believe it's been 35 years.

I was home, back when they only had the 6:00 news. Had the news on, of course, the first story "Elvis Presley was found dead today". My sis was in the shower, I ran in and yelled Elvis died!!! My sister who thought I was kidding says Nutuh!! But I said it's on the news!!!

I was at the age where I was about to start kindergarten the following month. I loved Elvis and Chubby Checker the most back then. Anyway, my favorite Elvis songs are "Burnin' Love" and "All Shook Up" but I also like a lot of other Elvis songs, too.

I wasn't even born then, but I live in Memphis so it is a big deal here. People from all over the world come to pay their respects.

I was listening to the radio when they broke in & told that he had died. Even after all this time, its still hard to believe he's gone.
