For me it's actor Richard Ward in episode "The Stung." He played one of Fred's long time friend Al Banks. He should have had a few more appearances as Al or another character. He fit right in Sanford and Son. Richard Ward was a underrated actor of the time period he acted in. Plus, the Stung was one of my favorite episodes.

How about that rather large woman that Fred was seeing at the end of "Pops N Pals"? The one who ended up calling Fred a big buzzard? "That other dude was buying me four drinks! Now I gotta go back and start all over again!" She had me rolling!!!!

Yes, but she also made another appearance at the beginning of episode "Rated X" with Bubba.

She was good though

yeah, they could have brought him back for another role. But with his size, he would have been typecast for another kind of bully, but he was good.

I think after Grip found out he had slept with Esther, he either left the country or killed himself:happyface :happyface
I would really have liked to have seen more of the incomparable Scatman Crothers, who played Fred's friend who introduced him to Elizabeth, OOPS, Esther!!!!!

Yeah, Scatman was another great would should have been seen more than once. He should have been brought on earlier before the show jumped the shark.

That was Smiley Rogers, one of the few people on the show who used their real name for the character.

Anyway, for me, it was the hypnotist who was also a handwriting expert, certified public accountant, hairstylist, minister, justice of the peace, reformed rabbi... and alcoholic. He could very well have been the forerunner to the "Ye-e-es?" guy they got a few years later - if they used him more than once.

I would've loved to have seen that hippy rock band drummer ("Hey, Daddy-O!") who rented a room at the Sanford Arms more than just once. He was cool!

He also played James Evan's absent father on Good Times. A lot of the same actors had bit parts on many of the shows of that time.

I know, that was the point I was making. I also saw him in an episode of All In the Family and What's Happening!

I also like him in Steve Martin's movie "the Jerk"

Come to think of it, I don't know if he was on What's Happening, but he was definitely on Sanford and Son as I made in the original post. You don't remember episode, "The Stung" when Fred wanted to teach Lamont a lesson in playing cards? Fred's friend Al banks (Ward) conned Lamont and his friends out of the money from the cards and he took off for days. Fred was forced to get a job to pay this real tall dude back. This was the only episode where Rollo and Julio was in together

I would have enjoyed seeing more appearances by Aunt Hazel, Aunt Rosetta, and Aunt Ethel. Lamont sure seemed to have a lot of Aunts, and apparently all on his mothers side. Esther, Ethel, Hazel, Rosetta, Minnie, and Flossie that I can think of.
