George and Jerry go to see Elaine at her job during a Christmas party and while they were there Elaine says to George......"Hey do you want a job we have a opening?" "If you do I can have you talk to my boss right now"


So someone on the outside never gets a chance to compete for the job

Yeah that happens a lot unfortunately. It's good for current employees but awful for people out of work. BTW, that's a great episode!
