I've been watching all 11 seasons on DVD in order since about April and I finished the series last night and I had never seen the last two produced episodes The Desperate Half Hour and How to Marry a Moron and I was disappointed I did like the Tot family but the two parts weren't very good. The first part had it moments with Lucky and Al's lucky shoe horn, but Kelly and Lonnie falling in love so fast and almost getting married the next episode was kind of stupid almost like "well it's the last one we are making, lets have a wedding episode".

I am glad that the two parter wasn't the last to air because in Chicago Shoe Exchange's final scene we see the monkey sticking his hands down his pants next to Al at the shoe store, now that is a good way to end the series

What did you all think of the two parter? How would you have liked to see the series end?

I would say with the hands in the pants because that was classic AL:wave:

Yeah, I was also disappointed in the hour-long (edited into two separate episodes for syndication) "series finale" (the episodes are entitled "The Desperate Half Hour" and "How To Marry A Moron")...surely there would've been a better way for the fatcats at Fox to give "Married" a more deserving finale after eleven seasons. "Married" singlehandedly put Fox on the map, for crying out loud!

What finale could this show have had besides hitting the lottery?

TVFactFan, I would've wanted to see Al and Marcy apologize to each other for all the put-downs and insults they hurled at each other for the last eleven seasons.

Did "How to Marry a Moron" feel like a proper series finale in any way because it revolved around Kelly getting married?

Also, if a 12th season of Married...With Children had been ordered, how would viewers have dealt with Kelly being married?

I don't think How to Marry a Moron was supposed to be the series finale. I think if the cast and crew knew the show was cancelled then they would've gotten a proper sendoff.

It was a season finale, if nothing more.

"Chicago Shoe Exchange" aired afterwards but was produced 21st (out of 24)
