BigManMike 08-13-2012, 12:17 PM This schedule sucks! I am so unhappy that they are removing Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, and I can't believe they are removing Green Acres which they didn't even have very long. I Love Lucy is now on at in inconvenient time on Sundays. I have all the seasons of the Brady Bunch on DVD so I have no reason to watch it here. I won't be watching MeTV for a long time. Thank goodness I have Antenna TV which is way better.
Retro76 08-13-2012, 12:18 PM While I like the new shows, I am totally bummed about Love, American Style leaving the schedule, again:mad: Even worse, Green Acres, Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley are going and they have not ran all the way through. Mothers In Law, I can get on DVD so no worries.
On the other hand though, this Me-TV Showcase has me curious.....
old grouch 08-13-2012, 12:38 PM Good: 'The Donna Reed Show'
'Emergency'
'Make Room for Daddy' (although I wish it was on later)
Bad: No 'Green Acres'
Still too much 'MASH'
I wonder what the 'ME-TV Sunday Showcase' will be.
loaferman 08-13-2012, 01:29 PM I had just gotten into watching "Cannon". I have just bought the first 2 seasons on DVD but the sound quality is very low for CBS dvd's. I have the other seasons from other sources in not so great quality. Season 3 is due outon DVR's soon according to Amazon.
mets82 08-13-2012, 03:21 PM I wonder what the Sunday showcase is too. I hope its not ME-TV showing movies in the middle of the afternoon. There not needed.
LeeBlue 08-13-2012, 03:47 PM Not the best line-up of shows..
.I'm glad to see Kjak return but was hoping to be able to watch Ironside.
..
TVFactFan 08-13-2012, 03:51 PM Me-TV is getting worst while Antenna TV is getting better.

They all have their ups and downs, just glad to see there is still real classic tv available. Hope one day to get Antenna TV.
Jaqui-Michel 08-13-2012, 04:30 PM Emergency is the only show that peaked my interest. I wish a different cop show was available. I've gone through Cannon, Kojak and Perry Mason. Too many westerns and comedies.
Jude The Obscure 08-13-2012, 05:18 PM No network's schedule is going to please everyone. That being said--really?? Keeping Gunsmoke, Bonanza and The Big Valley?? reran to DEATH.....but I do applaud them adding Make Room for Daddy and The Donna Reed Show--two sitcoms long overdue for reruns.

Yes Antenna TV has it's DOWNS which is
Their saturday schedule
Their sunday prrimetime schedule
But overall it still is a great channel

Well atleast they held on MTM and TBNS.

But overall it still is a great channelI prefer WKRP to any of the shows in primetime on other nights. The only show that comes close is Bachelor Father. And Sundays will get even better when Barney Miller replaces NewsRadio. I just wish Soap and Benson were switched.

Yes that's what I;m waiting for Barney Miller on Sept 9th.

Not movies. We discussed this: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/sitcomsonline/Bnuy/~3/FDVh2Pm7m8I/metv-network-fall-2012-schedule-has.html
KJH278 08-13-2012, 09:19 PM Yes they have EMERGENCY! on at a time when my ME-TV doesn't have those annoying infermail commicals
I prefer Antenna TV because its signal is a lot easier to steal from across the border (and believe me I keep trying) and also from looking at ME-TV's schedule, it has the same major flaw as its old schedule and that is that all the best shows are on very early in the morning. They really should do something about that!
By the way, when does Antenna TV's fall schedule come out?

It was announced that the shows below will be on Antenna TV in the fall
Benson
Barney Miller
Thank you, Captain Obvious! I already knew that. Now here's something that you may or may not know about Antenna TV.
1. Barney Miller will be on Sundays at 8 and 8:30 pm Eastern Time replacing NewsRadio.(Yes!!) Benson will follow "Soap", the show it was spun off from, at midnight and 12:30 ET, replacing an hour of "Three's Company".
Antenna TV news (http://chicagoradioandmedia.com/news/2582-news-a-notes-kathy-mcfarland-antenna-tv-wls-amfm-tom-kent-ty-bentli-tim-virgin-much-more)
We'll have to wait for the official schedule to see if any more changes will be made. Personally, I think 2 hours of WKRP is too much on Sundays. Maybe they should just cut it back to 1 hour and find something else to run in the other hour. Perhaps those replacements will be......
2. With Donna Reed and Danny Thomas now part of the ME-TV lineup, both excellent choices by the way, it seems that both channels now have nearly every major hit series from the 50s and 60s on their combined schedules, and some nice minor ones too, except for Andy Griffith, and that should only be a matter of time for Me-Tv. (How do you leave out Andy Griffith???) The other notable exceptions for now would be Bewitched and I Dream Of Jeannie, and both will join Antenna TV some time in 2013.

That's a bad slot for Barney Miller and Benson which means I will have to record it every week
Retro76 08-13-2012, 11:21 PM Read the blog story for info.
Now that looks very promising for sure. Can't wait to see the Night Gallery Showcase, as it's the "supernatural equivalent of Love, American Style" with its blackout segments. Speaking of which, I can assume that LAS will get a shot of marathons one Sunday either on Valentine's Day or before. Either way, i'll be sure to tune in on the Me-TV Sunday Showcase.
Pavan 08-13-2012, 11:22 PM That's a bad slot for Barney Miller and Benson which means I will have to record it every week
Timeslots for both have been known here since June. Not sure how you forget so much. And oh my goodness you're going to have to record it! Are you that lazy? Everything can't revolve around you.

Pav football season is now in progress and it dawned on me that on Sunday Nights I'm watching football so I won't be able to see it and will have to record it

Tubehead 08-14-2012, 01:04 AM i can't belive theri getting rid of family affari i just startd to get into the show
Jude The Obscure 08-14-2012, 10:20 PM For anyone interested--The Donna Reed Show will be seasons 1-5 only as the deal was made with the Reed-Owen heirs. Sony owns seasons 6-8. This information was given to me by Mary Owen, Donna and Tony's daughter.
ajgenard 08-16-2012, 02:59 AM Once again I'm a little unsettled by MeTV's schedule changes. This act of adding sitcoms then removing them before they even complete a single run is starting to get old. Sadly it appears they are slowly phasing out comedy. Seems like every schedule change removes at least 1 or 2 more sitcoms than it adds. 9/10 of the promos they're currently airing are for Emergency! and Remington Steele. I'd be more excited for The Donna Reed Show or Make Room For Daddy if I was sure they'll still be on the schedule come December. But given MeTV's recent track record with poorly-promoted sitcoms I'm not getting caught up in a show just to have it pulled in 2 months.
Hopefully this is just a slight influx and the schedule will re-balance itself eventually. Unfortunately that's kind of hard to believe considering the vast amount of channels we've seen turn to crap. I still believe in MeTV and they still blow TVLand, N@N, etc. out of the water.
Tubehead 08-16-2012, 11:37 AM they should get ride of bonzan gunsmoke i lov lucy bigvally and mash they show them oall ontv landi love lucy come on halll mark canne so and big vally come onnpration network l or t v they they should jus tshow the lucy show i would addthe incdaible hulk tv show, bringback family affair. i would add the green hornit bring back canoon .

Yea, esp some shows air M-F, plus an airing on Saturday or Sunday.
Coffeecup 08-23-2012, 04:35 PM Between Tv Land, Hallmark, This Tv and Me Tv, I have a pretty good line up of shows that I like from the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's.

Me-TV summer schedule is "booty"
treky 08-24-2012, 12:49 AM no more GREEN ACRES:(
Coffeecup 08-24-2012, 08:04 AM I saw Green Acres quite a bit when it was in the 1960's and a few times since. It is not a show that really attracts me so when it goes off the lineups I really won't be disappointed.
Mr. Television 08-25-2012, 07:08 AM Well I finally saw my Me-TV affiliate listings for M-F in September. I don't know the weekends yet but I doubt it's changed much. Just as I suspected. I won't get MRFD or Donna Reed. The only new shows I'll get is MTM and DVD and Kojak. My 3 Sons I'll also get back. I wish Me-TV would change their overnight schedule. I get pretty much the full night of them.

Is yours airing informercials at those times, Sonny? I hate that crap--why affiliate when you are going to not show it all?
I wish they would send the daytime lineup of GS, Bo, and BV to late night and allow M:I, Combat and 12'Oclock High to be seen when more people are awake LOL

They either air infomercials or religious programming. Mostly infomercials though. The morning's the worse. They air The Honeymooners at 5; The Beverly Hillbillies at 6 and FA at 7 and then the rest of the morning is pretty much all infomercials . They air Me-TV from 1-2 and 3-4 but Gunsmoke & Big Valley are staying there. From 4-7:30 they do air their own classic shows like TCS, Family Ties, Facts of Life, Little House and Coach so that's not too bad. I wish they would change that around though as they've been there a long time. They air Me-TV from 9-10 in the evening and then they air the whole lineup overnight starting at 12:30.
TVFactFan 08-25-2012, 03:07 PM Something tells me I won't be watching Me-Tv anymore by 2013

I have the samething. ME-TV airs infomercials on weekends up until about 2pm. Then they show there schedule until 10 pm, then its paid programming, then at about 2am, ME-TV comes back until about 5 or 6am. On weekdays, ME-TV starts at 9am until 10 pm. I know I should complain but it seems like the shows that I want to watch air during the times when I dont have ME-TV. Its really getting on my nerves now but what do you do?

Yea I know how you feel. My Affiliate doesn't even show Me-TV on Sundays so I know that's a lost cause. Probably the only new shows I might get on the weekends are Burke's Law and maybe Emergency. I'm not too sure about Emergency because now they have an infomercial at 5 on Saturdays and an original show at 5:30 so I'll just have to wait and see about that. lol

I just checked the sunday schedule and didn't know they aired the Honeymooners on that day. Damm they don't show Me-TV on sundays at all? I would tell them to take sh*t off my service because it's a waste

They air all infomercials or religious programming on Sunday after 6 in the morning. They don't come back to Me-TV until 12:30 at night. Oh yea and I don't get why this station actually airs Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns weeknights at 1:30 in between Me-TV programs. That show is so not classic.

treky 08-26-2012, 12:14 AM I'm just glad they're keeping THE FUGITIVE.

Sounds like they signed up for Me-TV just for filler programming as their objective is something else. After plenty of people complained about our local Me-TV always showing that beyond stupid real estate listings crap for 1-2 hour blocks, esp often during the weekend, it got dropped (or moved to another sub-channel). I could understand if Me-TV didn't program 24/7 and therefore the local station had to find something to fill the time, but once people get a taste of Me-Tv (or Antenna TV), they want the whole kit and kaboodle!
Coffeecup 08-26-2012, 06:41 PM Just my luck the new shows will be in a time when my area shows Informercials. I wonder when the new shows will air?
Coffeecup 08-26-2012, 06:45 PM Oh I did look. Only new show that appears I can see is Remington Steele. Didn't watch that show in its day. Isn't any good.??
icecream 08-26-2012, 11:12 PM I don't exactly have a Me-TV affiliate. But my independent former FOX station airs Me-TV programming Saturdays from 10AM-noon and Sunday nights from 1-3AM. They should just air the whole schedule on their .2 substation (putting it on Comcast of course.)

Well atleast you have Antenna TV
ThomasE 08-29-2012, 05:42 AM I will take it for now. I can get with this schedule.
storrs19 08-29-2012, 12:44 PM Same here. I like Kojak but most of it (maybe all of it) is available on dvd while Ironside has stalled after the first four seasons. I wanna see me some more Ironside.
brettfan 09-03-2012, 06:43 AM Between Tv Land, Hallmark, This Tv and Me Tv, I have a pretty good line up of shows that I like from the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's.
Yeah I agree. I lucked that exactly one year ago two local channels in Kansas City picked Antenna TV and Me TV and added it to a digital lineup that had This TV and Live Well. I also have cable and get Cloo, The Hub, TvOne, Centric, G4 (they ran Quantum Leap last week on weekend). Tvland and Hallmark. So I luck out and get most of the, not all, but most of the channels with retro shows. So I get a good mix to chose from.
