1. 2nd Lionel...missing in season 5

2. Marcus.......missing in season 7

3. Alan willis.....missing in season 6

None of these characters were ever mentioned again but I guess we can just assume Marcus got a better job

BTW: Marcus was MISSING while he was on the show:lol:

I thought Alan Willis was annoying as hell. I don't know who was more annoying...the first Alan or the second Alan. Also, neither Alan looked mixed like Jenny did.I liked Marcus better. The second Lionel was such a TERRIBLE actor.

I forgot he got him with that when they were doing the dozens....so yeah, I guess the first Alan was better than the second.

For whatever reason, Michael Evans (Lionel #1) returned to the series.

Alan Willis was a two off character. He was ironically the black sheep of the family who was mad at his father for some reason. What was the reason?

Was it difficult to actually find mixed race actors to play Jenny and Allen? The actress who played Jenny was African American while the actor who played Allen was white.

Rashida Jones and Lenny Kravitz would have been better, but both were kids at the time, however, Helen and Tom were young enough (and obviously since Lenny was Roxie Roker's son) to have young kids. Michael Evans was less than ten years younger than Sherman Hemsley, although Sherman looked liked an old man since he was a young man.

Are there any male mixed race actors out there besides the guy in the White House?

Your last question is the HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY:wave:

I think the things below made sherman look older

his grumpy personality
wearing a suit all the time
hairline

Instead of 37 he looked 54

Even when Sherman was on All In the Family, he looked over 50. I don't remember him ever looking in his late 30s. It's hard to believe that Lionel #1 was less than ten years younger than Sherman (George)

There are some eps when he looks his real age especially when he was pleasant. Actually he looks young in the 1st episode of the series.

On AITF he looked ever older because they tried to make his hair extra gray so he could look the same age as Louise. He was never that gray on the Jeffersons

I thought it was revealed the Sherman worked to get Mike Evans his job back. I think it was a thread here about it years ago. More than likely, Damon would have stayed on until the end. Marcus could be said to probably got a better job and I don't think nobody cared that Alan was gone.

The first Alan was better than the second Alan. Alan #2 stunk, so I didn't mind when he was gone. Lionel #2 stunk even worse than that, so I didn't mind when he was gone either. I did miss Marcus and Lionel #1 (Mike Evans)

I remember reading somewhere that Sherman had bumped into Mike somewhere and told him that he could probably get his old job back.

Anybody remember the "Thelma and Louise Jefferson" skit from In Living Color?

Louise: Well which Lionel are you, the one who was there in the beginning and was funny, or the other one who no one really liked?

I've been looking for a certain book about The Jeffersons history. The online book store that I order from is always out of stock. I should try amazon.com.

Amazon must not have it, because I checked for books on The Jeffersons, and all that comes up is books on Thomas Jefferson.

I wonder what ever became of the actor who played Marcus. What was his real name? I would like to do some research.

He made a guest appearance on Steve harvey show in 1997. I probably didn't recognize him. His name is Ernest Harden Jr.

He also appeared on the Parkers and the Bernie Mac show
