The pub in Manchester, as seen in the aforementioned episodes, was it a set? Or did the production team go all the way to Manchester to a real pub?

I'm only asking because if it was a set, then it was a very well crafted set, whoever designed it should have won an Emmy!

I think it was probably a set. Don't know for sure though.

I agree. It doesn't make sense to me that they would send only David Hyde Pierce and a camera crew to England for two minutes of film in a British pub. But I don't know for sure either. :)

The only time they ever did location shots was when they filmed that episode in Seattle that I know of. Too bad, really but hey, if it makes people think that they went on location, then apparently they did an excellent job!
