I would like to suggest a Complete Series box set of Benson (1979-1986, 158 episodes, licensed from Sony).
All the episodes should be restored and remastered in high definition from the original film elements, and they should be unedited.
The original Columbia Pictures Television logos should be included at the end of the episodes.
Special features should be included, including audio commentaries with the cast and crew, text commentaries, documentaries with the cast, a Savings Bonds film with the cast ("Benson: The U.S. Goes To Market"), promos, bloopers, photo galleries, and more.
A segment of bloopers from the show that aired on "Life's Most Embarrassing Moments" with Rene' Auberjonois and Steve Allen should be included.
The "Benson/Sports Night" promo from the Sports Night 10th Anniversary Edition should be included.
The Christmas message from the cast at the end of the "Mary and Her Lambs" episode, the series recap from the last episode, and the three alternate endings for the last episode should be included.
English subtitles should be included.
A collector's book should come with the set, including pictures, an episode guide, a history of the show, and more.
Since you worked with Robert Guillaume on the Sports Night 10th Anniversary Edition, and since you are working with Sony for new things (like the All in the Family box set), can you make an agreement with Sony for this box set?

What some fans want to see and what happens with DVD releases are two different things. :)

Everything's dependent on whether the company thinks a title will sell. With season 2 being MOD, we may not see a big complete-series release.

Of course it's a great idea. The whole series should have been released long ago.

It's small comfort that it shows up in reruns. I don't want to watch those cut versions. Benson is a very underrated sitcom. The quality of shows was excellent throughout the series. So if the whole series is released, there will many hours of viewing pleasure.

Hopefully anyone whose got the inside scoop will post info on future releases.

Benson is a secret gem that deserves its rightful place! I hate that other overrated shows steal the thunder...

C'mon ShoutFactory! I have faith in you. Please release this!! What an awesome set this would be!! If not Shout then Time Life! Please!! Either those 2 because they'll do it justice, just not Mill Creek ugh!

It would sell just as good, if not better than the "Mary Hartman" set that was also released by Shout! Factory.

^^Agreed Tlc!!!^^ I think it would sell very well, just as good as a lot of other shows with similar popularity or shows not as good that have gotten complete series releases. There's a lot shows that I think are really bad, garbage actually, that got full releases. Benson has a faithful following and a lot of people like it, almost cult status. It's a very underrated show. And for the 2 people who voted no for this not to be released in full on DVD, why? It doesn't make sense, it can only benefit other shows of being released in full, so why not vote yes? I've voted for shows that I'm not really into but I know it's got to help other fans and other series'. I've appreciated what Shout has done and will continue to support them by buying their releases and voting yes for them and any other poll or company.
