This morning one of my Facebook friends (my grandpa) posted a status about how it's the first day of school in his area and he saw two accident's involving teen drivers on the way to work this morning. His friends in the same age bracket immediately start complaining about texting and it really bothered me.

Why is texting always the first to blame why cant they ever just thing that an accident occurred without a phone being involved. Not once did anyone say they're glad the teens are okay instead they're all going on about phones! My grandpa never said texting was the cause but they jump to the conclusion of it.

Why?

i've seen some news reports that claim that texting/phones/distracted driving is the cause of more accidents than drunk driving now - I don't know if its true, but if you look around while driving it seems like EVERYONE is on their phone, and hardly anyone is paying attention.

I guess. I was more annoyed by the fact that everyone was just complaining and there was not one "glad everyone is okay"
