Which episodes do you like better: Classic 39 episodes or the Lost episodes?

I'm just curious to see what most fans prefer. I, personally, don't have any preference as both are good in their own way.

Nothing can compare with the classic 39. Those 39 shows are by far the best of all Honeymooners shows, skits, specials, etc. That one season of 39 shows was pure magic, Gleason was right when he said it couldn't be duplicated, which is why that format was pulled after just the one season.

I notice that Ralph's character is more mellow in the Classic 39 episodes. Don't get me wrong, he still blows his top. But in the lost episodes, he sometimes goes real wild whereas in the Classic 39, he's not as wildly angry.

That is one reason why I prefer the classic 39. In the "lost" episodes, when Ralph and Alice yell at each other you can really feel the anger and rage coming from the both of them. It can be difficult to watch. In the classic 39, the yelling is toned down a bit, there is anger but not the full blown rage that is displayed in the lost episodes. Also, the classic 39 are just funnier than other Honeymooners shows. The classic 39 are among the funniest half hour shows in the history of television.

My response to a similar question back in December:
I prefer the Lost Episodes as well. The Classic 39 are classics, no doubt about it, but something about that live feel appeals to me more. Lost or Classic aside, I think they put on consistently great shows, starting with the original "Letter to the Boss" and ending with "My Fair Landlord." The Trip to Europe shows are interesting, but as one reviewer put it, "the Kramdens and Nortons work best in their native Brooklyn."

Classic 39 for me. Much funnier and in my opinion more memorable episodes. I still laugh when I think of Norton saying "Hello ball!".
