1. Reason to Live -- In this episode, Dr. Jason Seaver (Alan Thicke) helps out a classmate of his eldest teen son Mike (Kirk Cameron) after he learns she is wanting to kill herself so she can join her mother in the afterlife after her own mother killed herself the week before her 12th birthday. What I like about this special episode is that it dealt very realistically on the subject of Teen Suicide.
2. All the World is a Stage -- In this episode, after spending 3 months out of college, Mike (Kirk Cameron) is persuaded by his dad Jason (Alan Thicke) to go out on an audition spree after telling his parents he wants to be an actor--and lands an ultimate leading role on a fictional network soap opera called Big City Secrets. The episode has a unique opening montage (which I like) not seen in any other episode, where 21-year-old Kirk Cameron, his 27-year-old then fiance Nancy Mueller (credited under her professional name Chelsea Noble, who he would marry in real life the following Summer) and a group of paid extras sing a brief rendition of On Broadway followed by the regular theme song where the opening credits roll. Also included in this episode is a cameo by Kirk & Candaces real-life dad, Rob, as an older version of Kirks character Mike as a has-been actor 20 years into the future.
3. Menage a Luke -- In this episode from late in the shows run, youngest son Ben (Jeremy Miller) and Luke Brower (Leonardo DiCaprio) fight over the same girl, Cheryl Murray (Wendy Cox).
