Just watched S8E21 + 22, or Semi-Decent Proposal and A Passing Fancy, and was anyone else annoyed by Kirby's initial severe disinterest in American history?

I do believe Klugman played his part well though, and was pleased when I found out he was fellow sitcom actor Jack Klugman's (The Odd Couple) nephew, and I couldn't believe Klugman was 8-9 years older than his character's age at the time of taping!

Haven't seen Kirby's other appearances yet, so I can't comment on those.

Wow, didn't know that he was related to Jack Klugman! Cool! I thought his character reminded me of a clueless surfer guy who really didn't care about learning about anything really. It didn't really bother me though although he wasn't one of my favorite characters. I do love that episode "Sharing Kirby" though.

I just watched that episode last night, and I definitely agree with you, especially the part where Frasier, Niles and Kirby are all in Cafe Nervosa, and Frasier and Niles are offering bribes to Kirby! :lol:

I still remember how my jaw dropped when Niles took Kirby into the library at his home. I mean, I know the Montana was cool, but that place must have been huge! That library was the most amazing thing I've ever seen! It reminded me of that huge library in Beauty and the Beast!!!
