Met a lesbian hooker by the name of Matilda over at the corner bar of Sunset and 61st. She had one leg and severe case of the gout. It didn't stop her from being the freshest damn rose in the lot. That hooker grew up to be Barbara Walters.

In a lot of ways, as much as I appreciated it at the time, I almost wish I had known just HOW good I had it back in the day, even if sometimes things weren't so great. It was so simple.

I'd do anything to go back in time just for a day and see my Dad, my uncle Jesse, listen to some Hilary Duff music and watch Lizzie McGuire and TRL all day.

Oh yeah, the highs were definitely very high. If anything it's just been a WILD ride.

2009: My dad died, nobody in my house was working, and we quickly sunk into financial ruin
2010: Lost the internet, cable, car etc...which lead to all kinds of crazy things as I ventured out into the real world. Met Kelsey, then there was the trip.
2011: The 2nd and 3rd trips, the whole "TF becomes Lynn and BF's slave" saga began, we started the Podcast, my Mom came down with cancer

I don't think I need to go into why 2012 has been crazy.

We really have watched the internet grow into a totally different beast all together since '04-'05. Back then, Wikipedia, MySpace and Facebook were still in the fetus stage with little-to-no following and Twitter, YouTube, and streaming media in general were pretty much non-existent. Oh, I remember it was 2005. It was legit one of the things that chased me off of here fulltime. I was already starting to come on here less after my Grandfather died, then between this forum barely loading, you always playing that Wolfenstein game, and a large chunk of the group being split up, I kinda just found other things to do and never looked back outside of holidays and the occasional reunion.
 Oh man, I remember that. I was sad to find out recently that game is basically dead now, I played that for years. Me, ROBOTO and BF had some times on there, I tell ya.

I still really miss that old layout from pre-2005. I have a few pages saved with it still intact.

 Well to be fair, the design of this place sucks MAJORLY. Seth got it looking good for a while, but I think him and the other admins were on different pages with how they wanted it to look. I guess this shouldn't be surprising considering the main site is LITERALLY stuck in 1999 with the ancient HTML frames.
That's totally part of it's charm though, like you mentioned.
