"Parenthood" Lands Another "Friday Night Lights" Alum

"Friday Night Lights's" Matt Lauria is joining "Parenthood's" fourth season in a major recurring role, TVLine reports.

The former Dillon panther will play a returning soldier from Afghanistan who gets close with Zeek (Craig T. Nelson), a fellow veteran.



"Parenthood's" showrunner Jason Katims, has made a habit of recruiting actors from "FNL", which he also created and executive-produced.

Before Lauria, "FNL" vets Minka Kelly, Michael B. Jordan, Derek Phillips, Angela Rawna and Jeff Rosick also appeared on the NBC drama.



"Parenthood" returns Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10/9c on NBC.
