My friend's cousin came up from Cincinnati and stayed the week up here with her. I was just with them, and I just found out that he owns a female Black Widow spider for a pet.

I had just never heard of anyone owning a venomous spider as a pet. I've heard of snakes before, and scorpions, but this is first for the spiders. I just found it weird, and kind of really interesting.

It hasn't killed him yet, and if that's not a sign of love then I don't know what is.

Anyways though, yeah, I can't see the value of having one for a pet. You can't play with it or anything. Basically all you can do is feed them and hope that they don't crawl out while you briefly open the container.
