Comedy Central’s late-night stalwarts Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have extended their contracts with the cable network. Stewart’s extension will keep him at the helm of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he will continue as executive producer, writer and host, through the middle of 2015, marking 19 years on the air. Colbert’s extension will keep him and The Colbert Report at Comedy Central, where it launched in 2005, through the end of 2014. Colbert serves as executive producer, writer and host of the show, which is produced by Stewart’s company.

The Daily Show and The Colbert Report just received four Emmy nominations apiece. They are the only late night talk shows to post ratings growth among Adults 18-49 for the current television season: +10% for The Daily Show and +11% from The Colbert Report. The Daily Show delivers more Adults 18-49 (1.4 million) than any late night talk show in all of television.

Not to get too political, but...

I noticed different accounts on The Daily Shows' ratings. Some sites say that it has solid ratings, but others, such as Big Hollywood Breitbart, declare it as "low-rated".

I'm not sure who is correct.

Stewart is #1 in 18-49 and 18-34.
