She just appeared in mid-season 3 and I forgot how annoying she was every time she was on the show. I guess the lady who played Adelaide was sick or something and they were using this woman as a replacement.

Well he didn't die why the show was on the air. Honestly I never even thought about it when watching the DVD because I was too busy laughing.

I'm kind of partial to Mrs. Garrett. I'd have to go back and watch again and compare the two.

As much as I liked Adelaide it seemed strange not seeing her as a regular in every episode. I guess Mr. D was very generous with the vacation time he gave her. :lol:

I can't remember what episode but during season 3 Adelaide is seen leaving to visit her sister in philadelphia and it's explained she is going to be gone for 3 weeks. that's when sophia shows up to replace her

I remember Dody Goodman was in several episodes as Phillip's sister Sophia. After the fourth season, she was gone and only made one other appearance, in the wedding episode.

I especially hated her in the junk food episode, nasty food police. And there's no way Arnold would have gone with her against his classmates.

Tom she was just too goofy and in the way and out of place. Adelaide atleast was funny and the maid.

I for one enjoyed Aunt Sophia. I thought she was a nice lady who really cared about her family. Indeed she was a little goofy at times, but I always found her endearing.
