In the episode..."The Apartment", Jack says he didn't come home because he sleep in a little small room athat had a bed above the Bistro

Then all of a season at the end of season 8 this little room transforms into a One bedroom apartment..

Why couldn't they just give Jack and Vicky another residence instead of above the Bistro to maintain the consistency from season 7??

Yeah, I always wondered the same thing, they completely changed the setup of what it looked like above the Bistro. Maybe they thought it wouldn't matter or people wouldn't notice. But it would have made more sense for them to move somewhere else since they had already used that place for a different storyline.

I guess they must have wanted Jack and Vicky to live above the Bistro during Three's a Crowd, for some reason. I haven't seen that many episodes of TAC but maybe having them live there would give them specific storylines that you wouldn't have if they didn't live above Jack's restaurant.

Maybe that was more important to them than the consistancy with Three's Company, and from what I've watched they make it seem as though TC never happened except for the episode Richard Kline was in, but that's getting into something different.

And if the apartment was above the restaurant how was Larry able to knock on the door or ring the bell if the Bistro was CLOSED?-LOL

Or maybe Jack and Vicky's apt had a street entrance??

LOL...I agree. I mean WHO CARES?

Every sitcom has inconsistencies and fallacies if you look for them! That's why they are SITCOMS! What's important is they make you laugh and TC did that better than anyone else!

I know what you mean and agree but inconsistencies really, really do annoy me. I wish things would be more accurate. It gets on my nerves.

Not to cause an uproar or anything, but couldn't it be possible that they worked on the apartment in between the time there? After the time everyone leaves and when they show the apartment with Janet and Terri again, Janet is just back from her honeymoon and the apartment is pretty much packed up. They never said how long she was supposed to have been on her honeymoon, so couldn't they maybe have had time to work on the room above Jack's bistro? I'm just saying...... :)

Well it was mentioned that it was just a room with a bed so that's where the inconsistency came from. Then all of a sudden it's a huge one bedroom apartment. But the fact that Jack was a owner of a Bistro, they really should have been in a house

Well, that's American Television for you. The apartments are always larger on TV than in real life. Look at Seinfeld for example. How many rooms does his apartment have? Better still, although I never watched a full episode of Friends, their apartment was huge for people who work in a coffee shop.
