I remember reading that despite Bea's great performances, this was the last year The Mary Tyler Moore Show was in contention and Mary Tyler Moore was expected to win again one last time. Bea won however and she looks genuinely shocked! Mary Tyler Moore also looks slightly surprised and disappointed right at the end of the clip. She perhaps also thought she was the favorite -

Great clip! I have a still of Bea clutching this Emmy but have never seen this before. She looks totally overcome with shock at the beginning. There will never BEA another like her.

Bea Arthur... Jean Stapleton... Valerie Harper... Mary Tyler Moore... Suzanne Pleshette, That is a Tough category to win in and also one that I would not be in! Defiantly better then all the Actresses in the Leading Actresses Category Today: Tina Fey, Edie Falco, Amy Poehler, Melissa McCarthy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Zooey Deschanel. None of Today Actresses can even hold a candle to those Legends!

Anyway there will never be another one like Bea! She is a Legend and was one of the Last 'Great Ones' That we had. RIP Bea!
