Pete Rose Gets a Reality Show

TLC has ordered a new reality series that will document the lives of retired Major League Baseball All-Star Pete Rose and his Playboy model fiancé, Kiana Kim, the network announced Wednesday.

The series will focus on the couple's attempt to blend their families, with Rose living in Las Vegas and traveling around the country for public appearances and Kim residing in Los Angeles with her two children.

In addition, some members of Rose's family are "skeptical of their relationship," TLC's release says.




It will also chronicle Rose's efforts to become eligible for baseball's Hall of Fame. The 71-year-old was banned from baseball after it was discovered that he bet on games when he was a player and manager for the Cincinnati Reds in the 1980s.

Kim and her family "know very little about that part of his past," according to TLC.

The network plans to air five episodes of the show later this year.

Chronicling preparations for Rose and his fiancee, ex-Playboy model Kiana Kim, as they blend their families and prepare for wedded life, the six-part docu-series will launch on the cable network Monday, Jan. 14, at 10 p.m.



According to the official synopsis, the 71-year-old Rose -- who has been banned from professional baseball due to his gambling -- and Kim will face "challenges other families face."

The upcoming nuptials mark Rose's third trip down the aisle, while Kim has two children from a previous relationship.



"Pete Rose: Hits & Mrs." is produced by Creature Films and executive produced by Mark Ford and Kevin Lopez.

It's bad enough that Rose is not in the Hall but now fans have to watch him look like an old fool weekly. Who greenlight's these projects anyway?

We watched about 5 minutes of it, sad sad show.

There was a time we enjoyed TLC but all their shows are crap now. Trashy and pathetic seems to be the new theme for THE LEARNING CHANNEL.
