The reason McHale's Navy saw a return was because of the death of Ernest Borgnine. Sadly, I think the only way we'll see a return of CPO Sharkey is if Don Rickles passes away. IMO

Mchale's Navy has been on Antenna TV months before the death of Ernest Borgnine. It aired at 1pm in the afternoon during the week

So there is still hope

Also, McHale's Navy was airing on RTV from 2008-2010 approximately. It's really time for a CPO Sharkey revival!

CPO Sharkey has never really been on cable except for one time so it's actually a local/digital syndication type of show. That's why it fits right on Antenna TV not so much Me-TV

Maybe a MOD DVD? I would definetly buy it. I got a feeling it has a better chance of being on DVD then on TV, long odds either way which is a shame.

You were lucky to have seen CPO Sharkey in syndication. I wonder what other stations it aired on? I know that even though Gidget only aired one season, a local channel of mine actually aired the show in the 1980's.
