10. Not having it connected to the start of Three's a Crowd

9. Closing out the Furley character

8. Closing out the Larry character

7. Bringing the Cindy character back to attend Janet's wedding

6. Explaining why Terri was moving to Hawaii

5. Bringing the Ropers back to attend Janet's wedding

4. Having the wedding somewhere else besides the apartment

3. Having the wedding reception somewhere else besides furley apt

2. Having the Ropers, Cindy, Furely, Larry, and the trio all at the Beagle one last time

1. Having everyone back at the apartment before everyone goes their seperate ways and when everyone is leaving have JANET be the last one to look in the apt one last time before shutting the door since she lived their the longest

What do you think?

10. Not having it connected to the start of Three's a Crowd - I never liked the Vicki character and thought it was a pretty weak premise with such a short introduction to the character

9. Give Furley an opening for his own spin-off

8. Heck, I would've made Larry and Furley roomates - two swingin' bachelors loose in the big city.

7. Bringing the Cindy character back to attend Janet's wedding - i would've tried to bring back some of the more colorful characters from thoughout the show's run, maybe even bring back the long-lost original roommate that Jack replaced

6. i don't know if anyone cared that much, but I thought they did explain why Terri was moving to Hawaii

5. Janet's storyline was very rushed - if they wanted to marry her off, they should've made it a season-long story with a better character, I also would've had janet become the owner of her own flower shop

4. Having the wedding somewhere else besides the apartment - that was definitely a little weird - way too small of a room

3. see #2

2. the gang all should've ended up at the Beagle one last time - I would've had the reception THERE.

1. I would've made it a 1-hour or full TV-movie special - I also would've had it end the same way it began with a big party and Jack passing out drunk in the tub

What was the reason for Terri Moving to Hawaii?

What was the reason for Terri Moving to Hawaii?
Wasn't it some nursing thing? Idk, I think she only briefly mentioned it once. There was only like a minute spent on Terri's departure when the rest of the episode revolved around Janet's marriage and Jack moving in with that girl.

Watching it now and she said wanted to be a nurse in Hawaii because she would be more useful:crazy:

Larry needed a new wingman with Jack tied down

It was time for Furley to get a companion at his age. He was too old to be a wingman:lol:

What made it crazy was she never mentioned anything in previous episodes about going for a job in Hawaii just came out with it in the last episode out of nowhere

Not sure why they couldn't close out furley with a nice lady. The show ends with him being a lonely old man with no one to be with

And that is so sad. I like weird, nutty, fun lovin' Furley. I hated that the show didn't have a happy ending for him.

In an older episode where the gang thought Furley was going to commit suicide, he (Furley) had a big crush on brother Bart's secretary Nancy. Nancy even came to Furley's party. She could have come back for the finale, too, and run off with Furley. I liked Furley with Nancy.

That Nancy lady was also on All in the Family as "Boom-Boom Turner."

Furley had a chance to get a woman in season 7, took her back to his apartment and then she wanted to make out but he was SCARED???????? And not only that he got her back together with her ex-husband LMAO

I will watch that episode tonight, one of the best of season 7

They should have given Teri more of a send off then just one line that she's going to Hawaii. Furley and Larry should have had closure especially Furley who now was left in that building alone. They should have introduced Vicky & Phillip much earlier. They tried to make it seem like it was love at first sight but I never believed it. Plus they should have gotten better actors for the parts. lol Cindy & The Ropers should have been on the last show.

Never understood why they never Furley atleast go on dates. I mean he didn't have to have a steady but they never had him in the presence of a woman at all which made his gay jokes about jack weird because he was never around woman

Yeah that guest appearance by the Ropers in 1981 should have been moved to 1984 so they could attend Janet's wedding

the finale could have been better. I didn't much care for "Three's a Crowd."

The return of Chrissy would have been a nice touch, but, of course, it would not have happened.

I think a spinoff called Jack and Janet where they are married would have been much better than Three's A Crowd, which was destined for failure. Could you imagine Jack being married to Janet and getting caught flirting with women and everything else? Some of the funniest episodes featured just Jack and Janet, especially the one where Jack takes the valium so he can handle flying out to an island to attend a snooty party with rich folks that Janet wants to impress.

Oh, and I agree the Ropers returning for the finale would have been cool.

If the show was called Jack and Janet it would have not been a spinoff since they were the two main characters.

It would not have made a difference. It was The A-Team that killed TAC more than anything. Ratings for TAC were not even that bad. They had about the same ratings as Who's the Boss. ABC was patient with WTB and wasn't with TAC. That was the difference.

yup and that was probably because the show was on for almost a decade versus a new show like Who's the Boss

I would've loved to have seen The Ropers, Chrissy, Eleanor, and Cindy at the wedding. And at least Janet's parents!

I think the reception at The Beagle is a great idea and having some sort of reference back to the bathtub scene where they all first met!! Good thinking!! :D

I also like the Larry/Furley spin-off idea. It was always funny when those two characters were together.

I really think he may have been gay. Because the episode when he had the opportunity to make out with a woman he met at the Beagle he was too scared:confused:

How the hell can a 52 year old man be too shy to make a move on a woman in his own apartment? Then he helped get back with her ex-boyfriend.

So he was never in any position to make fun of Jack because he thought he was gay

I read somewhere that Don was a very anxious/jittery person in real life, and he channeled that as an actor with the characters he played, (ex: Barney Fife, Ralph Furley.)

But I agree, poor Mr. Furley should've at least just once gotten the girl...although he did hook up with Cindy's Aunt Becky! Oh, and that one larger lady who was in Larry's family at the opening of Jack's Bistro!!
