I have to go with Lenny since he always managed to have a coat for every occassion:lol:

Sweet daddy always seem more like a THUG and was out to hurt J.J unlike Lenny who was trying to help out the community

Entertaining?! That's hard to say. Sweet Daddy was a guest star who had a bigger presence. Lootin Lenny was a side character who was just in scenes. That's not really a fair comparison in my opinion. Lootin Lenny was harmless, while Sweet Daddy was a pimp who you didn't mess with.

That first appearance of Sweet Daddy made him unlikable but you could tell how different he was in season 6

Lenny was the same in all his appearances...."try to get you a good deal:lol:

Awesome

He was one of the best, most entertaining minor characters in sitcom history. Most of his scenes had nothing to do with the plot, but he was ALWAYS able to provide a ton of laughs!!!!

Why?

Because Lenny basically had the same kinda lines, he wasn't on screen very long. Sweets was funnier to me, I don't dislike Lenny I just like Sweets better.

Yeah, I didn't see your post before I wrote it. :o But it is interesting that Lenny was only in 7 episodes and is one of the most endearing minor characters in TV sitcom history. His scenes had nothing to do with the plot but were often the funniest.

I do recall that he wasn't on the show in the John Amos era. But it does seem like Lenny was in a lot more than just 7 episodes. The episode where he was hiding hot water bottles and bedpans under his coat...I swear I fell off the couch laughing the first time I saw it. Hilarious!!!

That's right, he was not on during the james evans era. And I think the ep with and the hot water bottle was with Larry the deaf boy

I think Lenny is a little more laid back than the Jerome character. Jerome was more outspoken
