In what might be the most horror-influenced tour of the year, shock-rockers Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie are teaming up for a US and European tour. Korn singer Jonathan Davis will be providing opening support as his DJ alter ego J-Devil.

Rob Zombie says, “Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now. If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this ****ing tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”

Marilyn Manson states, “I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour. There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t **** you up, than I surely will. Hide all drugs and firearms…I’m coming to town.”

Rob Zombie Talks Touring with Marilyn Manson
Thu, 19 Jul 2012
—Rick Florino

When did you first meet Marilyn Manson?

Well, Marilyn Manson opened for White Zombie early on. They were just a small club band that I don't think anybody had heard of yet. I certainly hadn't.

I first met Manson and Twiggy when they were opening for Danzig at The Universal Amphitheatre. It was a long time ago. Korn was on the tour too. That was our first meeting.

Has the idea for the "Twins of Evil" tour been in the works for a while?

It was similar to the Alice Cooper thing where it seemed like a no-brainer to do a tour, but we never had for whatever reason. I'm kind of glad we didn't. You run out of people tour with [Laughs]. After a while, it seems like you've toured with everybody you could possibly tour with.

It was cool that the Zombie and Manson tour never happened. It can now be something new that never happened. Sometimes, your album and touring cycles just don't match up. Whenever he's on tour, I'm not on tour. Whenever I'm tour, he's not on tour. That can go on for years. When you throw the movies into the mixtures, my time off the road gets really screwy.

It just so happened that it finally worked.

You've got to tour with Slipknot.

That's another great one! I always forget about that one because Joey was in the band for a couple of tours, so I feel like I've toured with Slipknot, but I've actually never toured with them [Laughs].

I had some of Slipknot in the band. That would be a great tour.

What's next for you?

The immediate future is finish the record, go back mix the sound, finish the movie, and go on tour with Manson until Christmas. After Christmas, mix the record, do more tour dates…

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson Curse Each Other Out On Stage in Detroit
by JonathanBarkan
October 13, 2012

At last night’s show (Friday, Oct. 12th) in Clarkston, MI at the DTE Amphitheater, Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson kinda went off on each other, resulting in some profanity-laden moments being tossed around by both parties.

What supposedly happened is that Marilyn Manson began his show late and wasn’t able to get the full setlist in that was originally intended. As a result, Manson apparently told the crowd that he was, “…going to beat his ass,”, supposedly in reference to Rob Zombie.

When Zombie went onstage, he took his time onstage as an opportunity to curse out Manson. This was especially apparent in the band’s cover of Alice Cooper‘s 'Schools Out', where he continuously said, “**** you, Marilyn Manson!” and “Suck it, Marilyn Manson!”

From Rob Zombie’s Official Facebook:

“As stupid as this all is, I feel I must clear things up a little better. First off, I want to thank all the fans who came out in the freezing cold in Detroit last night. It was a total blast as always.

Unfortunately things turned ugly backstage. Why? I don’t know, but for some reason our touring partner decided to end his set by blaming me for something that I had nothing to do with and screaming he was going to “kick Rob Zombie’s ass as soon as he got off stage”.

Go figure. I was backstage hanging, watching the show thinking “hey this is gonna be a great night”, when suddenly he starts screaming threats. So strange. I don’t get it. Christ, I’ve known some of his crew for 20 ****ing years and some of his crew used work for me. It’s all good. No one would **** with someone’s show. It is ridiculous.

Well, of course I felt the need to respond to the ” kick my ass remark”. Who wouldn’t? Although I wish I had kept it backstage and kept the fans out of it. It is all 4rd grade fight after school nonsense of which I have never dealt with on tour before. Co-headlining tours always go smooth because everything is cut 50/50 and I mean everything. No one ****s with anyone’s show. It is even ****ing Steven.

I’ve done it co-headlining tours many times before and have had no troubles. Not with Pantera, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Korn, Megadeth or anyone ever. So I didn’t expect any troubles on this. It seemed like a great idea at the time.

But **** happens. Anyway, sorry to the fans who had to dealt with the embarrassing stupidity of it all. We are all there for the same reasons to give you the best show ever… that’s it.”
