Vera Peterson, played by Bernadette Birkett, Cheers

The most we ever saw of Norm’s wife was in a Thanksgiving episode of Cheers, and although her full body was visible for the very first time, her face was covered with pie. So it goes.

Wow! Gorgeous! Now, we never saw Maris Crane on Frasier either but I tend to think that maybe I don't really want to know what she looks like!

So true

If I am not mistaken, I think at least for awhile anyway, George Wendt (Norm) and this actress were married in real life.

Another interesting post. It’s cool they would use George Wendts actual wife for the role.

Hey Brian, I see that you have been posting in the Cheers forum for a long time. Thanks for trying to keep it going with the occasional bit of trivia or thought provoking question to the group at large.

I remember a post where you stated that you were in the radio entertainment business. Are you still in the entertainment business? I thought that was cool that you are in the business and also posting here. I imagine that gives you a slightly different view of all this.

Anyway,
Thanks for your interesting posts and keep it going!

And unlike Norm and Vera, George and Bernadette have three kids, all grown.

One of my favorite moments in the whole series was when Norm told Sam that he actually adored his wife, and all the Vera-bashing was just to impress the guys. Later on it seemed more like he really didn't care for her too much, but I loved that episode.
