I was reading a SVU book(Sweet Valley University), and one of the characters, Tom Watts, was assigned a report on what he thought love was about for an English class. So he wrote a romantacized, fantasy sounding romantic report. The teacher said in front of the class(after the reports had been graded),

"Here is an example of someone who DOES not have a good idea about love. He obviously wrote this under some fantasy clouded judgement. Tom said, "I wonder who that sap was." He leaned back in his chair, primed to enjoy the "show". The teacher read the report, and Tom gulped as he realized the teacher was reading HIS report. Tom was speechless. HIS report had been the object of ridicule and shame? Tom wanted to disappear, embarrassed. The teacher gave him a "D" and wrote, 'you don't have a good idea about love." That was so funny. God doesn't like ugly.......

There is a part in To Kill A Mockingbird that made me ROFL the first time I read it. Scout is narrating and she's talking about their new teacher asking if anyone knew what it was she was pointing to on the blackboard (I forget what it was), and then Scout says "We all did. Most of the class had failed it last year."

Another book called "Bread Alone" had me LOL, which is something I rarely do when reading. I wish I could remember the exact passage but it was something that the main character said to another character that was getting on her nerves.

Christina and Terri went to visit James, the hitchhiker's uncle Paul. Paul accused james of stealing 1,000 from his wallet. James claimed he didn't stea; the money, and Paul accused him again. James punched Paul out. Christina and Terri thought that James was cute, but way too much trouble. They wanted to ditch him. They jumped into Christina's car, and backed down the driveway.

James ran after their car saying, "Hey, you forgot me!" No, they didn't James.;) they let him in because they felt sorry for him. LOL.
