The character Portia Sanders who was played brilliantly by Kristen Chenoweth, was she supposed to be a one time character or was she supposed to have a more prominent role on the show?

She appeared only once to my knowledge in the episode "Junior Agent" and disappeared after that. She took over as Frasier's talent agent after Bebe dumped him. Anybody know what happened to the character? Was she to be recurring and was fired or something? I always wondered?

Hmmm... Did some checking online and can't really find anything but I did like this episode! She was pretty funny as his agent! My guess is that she was probably recurring but I only remember seeing her the one time.

Yeah, she appeared that one time, but disappeared after that and all of a sudden Bebe Glaser is back as Frasier's agent. Weird by 'Frasier' standards.

Maybe she was meant to be a recurring character, but then Kristen Chenoweth became unavailable? From her website and imdb it appears she was working on her own sitcom around that same time, even though it also seems that it may have already been cancelled by the time she did the Frasier appearance. Hard to tell about the timing and contractual obligations with these things, but it does look like she was very busy with TV and movie roles during the time she did this Frasier episode.

I'm glad that Frasier stuck with Bebe though! I love her!
