I would assume there will be extra content, which haven't been included on any of the All in the Family sets. Otherwise, there wouldn't be any purpose to put out a complete box set.

For one thing, this set should include the 2 original pilots, called Those Were The Days and Justice For All.

I know most complete sets that are released don't have any special features just a way to make more money from fans. We will see

I will tell you all right now that Shout Factory did an AWESOME job with the Leave It To Beaver set I bought from them! So if you are looking into buying any set on AITF, I would HIGHLY recommend the one from Shout! They are sure to be truely UNCUT as LITB was. I did buy the first season but just haven't gotten around to buying more. I may consider buying this set and give away the one season I have. It all depends if I can really afford it.

People who don't own the individual seasons will now have the option to pick up the complete series in one shot. People who already own the show can get rid of their sets and upgrade to the one package box set. If you don't feel it's not worth it...don't get it...lol

Well it's frustrating for me because I just started buying the series last summer and now if I just had waited one more year I could have purchased the entire series

Sell whatever seasons you have, this way you make some of your money back. Then pick up the complete series collection this fall. And even if you don't, it's not like the individual seasons will now be out of print. They're still available for fans.

They don't have any appeal now because the complete SET is out.

When I sold TV shows they were always shows you could not get from Amazon, or Best Buy.

I hope so because I bought the indivual sets from Sony and Shout. I commented on FB tvshowsondvd page that I and others who have the sets already are getting screwed by not being able to get the spinoff extras.

I haven't bought this show yet. The individual seasons looked cheaper, but since this has some good bonus features, I will probably buy the complete set instead. I may wait a year or so for the price to go down. I see this will have the original two unaired pilots which I have never seen. There is no way I would buy that Norman Lear collection released in 2009. That was a big ripoff.

Well TV Land aired a episode of Gloria 10 years ago so i don't consider that bonus too attractive.

The extras sound good, especially considering there were none at all on the original season releases. The price is $180 on Amazon right now. Hopefully it will go down to $150 (or less!) during the Holiday season.

I have 5 seasons right now. So that leaves season 6 to 9 with the extras. I may get the complete set once I start working again and wait until 2013. So I will stop buying the individual seasons

Other studios have released complete series with bonuses not on the invidividual seasons and then later released those bonuses seperately. I'll bet you Shout! won't do that. That's how I am with the Cosby Show. I have no intentions of buying that set regardless of the UNCUT season 1. I bought all the individual seasons and I;m done

When you're back at work and have a few extra bucks from seasons 1-5, you can get the complete series box set. It's from Shout!, not Sony, so I have a feeling it really is going to be a great set. :rock:

Shout should have just released the spinoffs and interview. It was no need to release the entire set

Though the ABP pilot ep was syndicated on the s1 dvd, perhaps uncut this time around.

No Shout! is slapping fans in the face now since they're the ones releasing the complete series set after releasing the remaining individual seasons. If Shout! had decided to release all the remaining seasons in one shot with the bonus features instead of after three whole seasons it might be a different story. All they're telling fans now is not to buy individual seasons of any of their shows because they might release a better complete series set later.

Well I got a response from Shout Factory about releasing the extras on a single disk.

This experience has taught me not to purchase another individual season for any more TV shows

One of the biggest (THE BIGGEST) mistakes I ever made in my lifetime, was being a supporter of them.

If they were to go out of business one day, I will not shed ANY tears for them.

That would have made more sense instead of releasing the series all over again. Especially since ABP is not in syndication or Gloria.

If they did "good work" then why so many complaints about AITF S7? They can't help if people already bought the season???? Yes they can. They can release the bonus fetures from the complete serie sseperately. Hell, even work with Sony and have them release them themselves, even on MOD if need be. But something!!!!

Well they won't have that problem from me (and apparently a lot of others) anymore because this just taught me not to buy any individual seasons of anything from them.

I've sworn off of Shout ever since that Brian Ward said that they were going more mainstream. Any time an outfit does that it's a sign that they have sold out to their once loyal fans.

On the other hand, you run the risk that they'll stop releasing them and that they could go out of print. It's frustrating.

I bought all the seasons of M*A*S*H as they came out and once season 11 was out, they put out a box set that had everything, bonus content and was about $150 bucks cheaper than buying them all separately.

It was announced a few days ago that Shout! Factory will be releasing the final season of "The Sarah Silverman Program" individually.
