Many times she wore different styles of clothes. While it is not the most flattering thing she has ever worn, I do not consider it that odd.

Rhoda was looking around maybe deciding what to do or where to go, I never thought of her as spaced out. I have seen people pause to look around the city before. Maybe she was trying to meet somebody and they were late?

It looks quite familar to ME. To be exact, she is at the New York Public Library on 5th ave between 41st and 40th streets.(The famous one with the 2 lion statues in front.) I believe that in one of the original openings she briefly posed with one of the lions.

Well when you live in a BIG CITY you would know the way she was looking around in the closing credits is how a "drug addict" looks when they are walking down the street.

I don't see anything wrong with the clothes, she just looks lost, confused. In a way, it looks unorganized like she wasn't even sure of what she was supposed to be doing. I don't think that's Valerie's fault though, I think it's who ever was directing the scene.

Her clothes don't look dirty at all. She looks like she's wearing the comfortable look which was in back then and still is today. That looking back and forth I guess was part of the Rhoda character but she was just looking so crazy

If you've ever been to NYC, you'll know that area is a bus stop. It only goes to reason that she was heading towards the buses when she was exiting the library.

In the Season 4 opening she poses next to a statue but it looks like some kind of "Alice In Wonderland" statue to me, not a lion.

I see the scene as, Rhoda walks off the steps into the walkway and stops thinking, am I going the right way. She looks around and says I guess I am and keeps going. As for the guy on the steps laughing, people must have great eyes, for I couldn't see him laughing at all.
