whats wrong with steve urkles voice in the later seasons of the show i never heard men with a voice that high before in my life it was annoying they should have made jaleel white talk in a normal voice the man sounds like mickey mouse.

He was getting older and his voice changed, that's all. I could put up with the voice, but what I couldn't stand was that Stephan character they kept pushing to the viewers. That character got stale quick.

Stephan was just boring...no personality at all.

Exactly! They could've had a storyline where the Winslows give him a long overdue makeover and that would be the result.

Yeah the winslow family could not have been a real friend to not even try to help steve out with his apperance, he needed some up to date clothes nice looking Nike shoes every guy in the 90's wore nike shoes everyday i no i did lol, he needed to get rid of the glasses he would have to make his voice deeper that sounded normal, he needed to learn peoples skills cause he had poor social skills he had nothing to say that could get anyones attention and one thing steve had no idea how to flirt with women when he did he just scared them away lol

I didn't like Stefan either. Sure, it worked for one episode when he first appeared, then it just turned boring as he was on more often and then when Steve duplicated himself to make a Stefan for Laura. That idea I didn't like at all.

Back on topic, Jaleel got older, his voice changed wich caused he had to put in more effort to make his voice high-pitched.

:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: I laughed when I saw this b/c the character of Steve made an appearnace on Full House and when he said hello to Michelle, she said "Why do you talk like a Mickey Mouse?" I never liked Steve Urkel either but I loved that scene on Full House!

Yeah i forgot that episode on full house it seems each season his voice gets higher and higher considering he's a man shoudent his voice get lower and lower each season like most boys when their voice hit maturity lol

Steve's voice started to get a bit annoying around season 5, and then in seasons 6 and 7 it was at it's worst, which is probably why in seasons 8 and 9 Jaleel did the Urkel voice different, because in seasons 6 and 7 he tried so hard to do the high and nasally voice that at times, if you had some noise going on in the background, it was actually hard to understand what he was saying.

To me, what started getting rather out of hand was when Jaleel had to be three characters in an episode: Steve, Myrtle, and Stephan in one season eight episode and then Steve, Stephan, and OGD in a season nine episode.

^^^ Because I don't believe that a person should ever be dressed to look like the opposite gender, I agree, but I understand why Jaleel had to be the one to play Myrtle. Its for the same reason why my most favorite actor, Bronson Pinchot, had to play the mother of his Perfect Strangers character.

An easy question: when did Family Matters JTS?

When it became The Steve Urkel Show!

So many great characters and actors on Family Matters—all obscured by Steve Steve and MORE Steve. And Stephan on top of this made it more disillusioning. What a shame.

They should have just done a spin-off for the Steve freaks.
