Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges return as brothers Arnold and Willis Jackson for another season of family fun and life lessons. During the third season, Arnold and Willis get held hostage by bank robbers, Mr. Drummond (Conrad Bain) celebrates his 50th birthday in the hospital, Kimberly (Dana Plato) helps a pregnant girlfriend, and Arnold "the great" goes missing after a more-than-effective disappearing act. Diff'rent Strokes never shied away from the social and cultural issues at hand, but always managed to deliver laughs and heartfelt character development from week to week.

I would like the know what the MINOR ISSUES are before I buy the DVD. Why keep the issues quiet? If they were that minor then why even mention them?


And Bank Job appears to be edited since both parts are 48 mins combined. So that means each part was 24 mins

Solomon, 48:53 and 49:02 for the one-hour episodes means nothing! They might be missing a recap/preview or nothing at all. If you did a little research, the one-hour episodes on season 2 were also 49 minutes and those were not edited. You worry about nothing. So there is nothing to be quiet about.

Season 1 is the only set that had edited episodes for the one-hour episodes when each half-hour clocked in around 22:10. That is edited! Not this set.

Well I was going by all the other eps being 25 mins which it seems would make a 2 part ep 50 mins

Do your homework. Season 2 had one-hour episodes and they were also 49 minutes! They were not edited and nothing was missing.

Two half hour episodes together would run 50 minutes because they each have opening & closing credits. Remember that each hour episode only shows the opening and closing credits once. That's why they only run 49 minutes instead of 50.

Thanks for the review! I just happen to see it on the top left hand of my screen. I had already pre-ordered last week but it's always great to have a review on it. I like to hear what type of video quality a dvd release has.

He just gave an EXCELLENT reason. Was there anything wrong with the 49 minute episodes on the season two set? No.
