It appears that there is a UM marathon on Lifetime today starting at 1:00 p.m. PST. Could this be the beginning of something good??

I should add that this is according to my local listings. If the listings are incorrect, then I'll be blaming the cable company, LOL.

It's nice to watch UM on my television screen again! Even if it is the farina version. I'm sick of watching it on the computer. Hopefully UM will make its way back onto lifetimes regular schedule.

Farina's version? They should show Stack's versions again and just update them like they did from 2001-2006.

The recent version of the UM on Spike series turned me off. Were there any new stories made during that run? According to old articles promoting the new series there was gonna be new cases made. Did new cases ever happen? It didn't seem like it. Oh I updated the UM wiki page and added the bit on the Spike series that the old cases never got the dates and times ever mentioned and 5 short edited cases aired instead of 4. Updates also were made to sound like the episode had recently aired depsite the case being actually old. These bits made loyal viewers upset about that series. I'm still looking for the new stories that Lifetime did back then. I'd only seen a portion when Prime channel (no longer called that) in Canada had it for a time in '04-05. I'm pretty sure I didn't see all of the LF UM new cases.

No. They still haven't made any new episodes since 2002. I'm aware that the articles on the show's impending return to television via Spike mentioned there was a possibility of new episodes, but as I recall, it was described as just that - a possibility.

Your right, they did screw up big time by not adding new cases and by drastically changing the theme and music. Yet the cases are the same old ones and sadly that is enough for me to watch.

^ This, so much. Farina just doesn't do it for me. One thing I've noticed is that sometimes he flubs a word (rarely, but it happens...I remember watching one of the most recent aired ones on SpikeTV and heard one but can't recall exactly what it was) and they lazily don't even bother to edit it in postproduction. Meh. Give me Robert Stack so I can get freaked out like I was as a kid.

The Farina episodes are lame. They are very similar to AMW re-enactments IMO.
