View Full Version : one of my Jr. High School teachers went to College with Joyce DeWitt and...
duckie 07-05-2012, 11:31 PM She couldnt stand her. She said Joyce was conceited and thought she was gods gift to men and basically thought she was better than everyone else. One day while my teacher was out of the room, I placed a Three's Company trading card of Joyce DeWitt on her desk and when she set down and saw the card, I thought she was gonna rip it up into little pieces but she give it back to me in one piece. lol She hated Joyce DeWitt with a passion!
Zoneboy 07-05-2012, 11:35 PM Are you sure she hasn't confused her with Suzanne Somers?
duckie 07-05-2012, 11:42 PM No, trust me it was Joyce DeWitt. With all bad things that have been said about Suzanne over the years, one may think it was her but no, it was Joyce.
Tiffy540 07-06-2012, 09:32 AM I'm sure Joyce DeWitt has changed. Thats more than I can say for Suzanne. I'd like to see Joyce more on tv.

Oh wow! If that's true I hope Joyce grew up, but I believe that there are two sides to a story. Thanks for sharing that with us. :)
Mr. Television 07-06-2012, 07:55 PM Maybe she was jealous. lol
GARFIELDKOOL 07-06-2012, 08:28 PM All I can say is what we don't see, we don't know. Yes, Joyce was loved by millions of viewers worldwide, but if this teacher saw something in Joyce before she got famous, then I would have no reason not to believe them. People have a side to them when the cameras are rolling and another side when they are off. But that's not going to change how i feel about Joyce in front of the camera.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 07-06-2012, 09:48 PM How much can you trust one person's opinion about someone that they knew 40-something years ago. Besides, there are two sides to every story. Or even if this is fact, people change and grow up. All I hear about Joyce from people who meet her is how ridiculously sweet and kind she is.
I heard one of these stories about John Ritter once. How someone's grandmother lived near him as a kid and he was some sort of bully. I mean, yawn. Who really knows if any of it's true or not. And who really cares.
Mr. Television 07-06-2012, 09:54 PM All they really owe me is a great performance. Other than that, what they're like in their private lives don't interest me much. Joyce has been very gracious when it comes to the fans and to TC and that's really all that matters.

I agree, everything I ever hear about her is how nice she is and everything. Also, it's just what one person said. And if it is true, I mean this was when they were in college? Everyone grows up, even after college. Who knows, maybe this person was just jealous or something.
Pavan 07-07-2012, 01:37 PM I've met Joyce before and she is very nice and cool and answered everything (in detail!) I asked in our interview for this website. She's very grateful for her career and hasn't taken anything for granted.

It's true. I mean, yeah, I met her at a convention where the actors go to make money selling autographs, but that didn't matter with Joyce. You can tell that some celebrities are only there for the business aspect of it and don't really care about meeting fans. Joyce seemed as if she genuinely liked being there, getting to engage with her fans. You just can't fake that.
