I'm a Roper fan myself (although I love Furley too, don't worry!)

Mr. Furley..... He was so funny and I just love Don Knotts...... I liked Mr. Roper too but I don't think he was as funny as Mr. Furley..... Now Mrs. Roper on the other hand.... I think she was almost as funny as Mr. Furley!

Mr. Furley is my favorite! U got to love his clothes. All those scarves he wore cracked me up! Mrs. Roper cracked me up once in a while when she complained, but RF is the funniest in my opinion. :happyface

I would have to go with Roper, although I really loved Don Knotts too. But the way Mr. Roper would do anything to avoid having sex with his wife, was priceless.

Remember, they did not have viagra back then, and if they did, you can bet that his wife would have ordered several cases of it for him. Norman Fell played his role to perfection.

Don Knotts, played his role very well too. But when I think of Don Knotts, I think of the Andy Griffith show, although he has done many other things, he will be forever remembered as Deputy Barney Fife.

The Ropers kick ass and they're a lot more funnier than Furley. Three's Company wasn't the same without them. I was sad when they left for their new show, the Ropers. They are funny when they have their silly arguments about money and sex. I loved how Mr. Roper spied on the kids and demanded them for their rent and how he made fun of Jack being "gay" and called him Tinkerbell. :happyface

Mrs. Roper was funny too. She looked cool in her long, colorful dresses and jewelry. She was sweet to the kids and she almost treated them as if they were her own. I liked how she complained that her husband never paid attention to her. The Ropers are #1! :o

Yeah, but the joke got old, quickly. I mean, what can be funnier than a guy who isn't loved and wants a girlfriend but can't find one? Ok, maybe a lot of things, but I still think RF is the best. Even though I have no idea what he said on 8SR... All I heard was "I knew you were a little fruity". I couldn't hear anything because everyone in the audience was in shock that he was there... I have the feeling that the producers really wanted to get Mr. Roper like the legendary scene, but he was a little busy...

I like both the Ropers and Mr. Furley but Furley's my favorite between him and Mr Roper. Helen and Stanley work best as a team, one without the other just wont do it.

When the Ropers are on, I like them.
When Furley is on, I like him.
If I had to choose, Furley is better. He is hilarious!

While I like both characters, I always got the impression that if Furley HAD found out that Jack was really straight, he would have let Jack stay in the apartment anyway....but there was NO WAY that ROPER would have let him stay....Stanley would have thrown Jack out in a second!

Furley was a funny guy, but I'm a Roper fan.

pilotguy, one time Furley was trying to teach Jack how to
"be a man". Larry had to catch a cab, and Furley told him
he was going to evict Jack for being "straight". That was
kind of mean of Furley to set Jack up like that. He could
have at least warned him and said "...but if you decide
you like women, you'll have to move out."
