View Full Version : Once again everyone in the national media is on the Eagles
TVFactFan 07-03-2012, 11:51 PM And I;m confused as to why? Because they still have
1. The same turnover prone QB
2. The same receiver(Desea) who won't go across the middle
Plus Michael Vick is the THIRD BEST QB in the division-lol
BTW: On the NFC East Preview tonight on ESPN the Giants was picked to finish in 3rd place.
So for some reason many media people think that since they no longer have the "DREAM TEAM" title they will play better. They still have the same expectations, SB or BUST:lol:
Brian Damage 07-03-2012, 11:53 PM Yeah, I just don't get it. The Eagles are always the favorites almost every year. That's okay though, let all the pressure be on them. lol

That's the funny part, Vick will turnover the ball even more now that LOTS OF PRESSURE is on him because by playing so well in 2010 he set the bar a little higher. Back in 2010 there was no expectations which is why it was easier for him to perform.
You know how sports work Brian-lol When nothing is expected of you that's when you are playing with HOUSE MONEY. Now Vick is playing with his own money LOL

True, I am just sick of all the Eagle praise. I get enough of that at work from Mike. LOL

He is not in football mode yet, I been trying to get it out of him on facebook but he won't go there-lol

Believe me Sol, he still talks trash! LOL

I can understand why, his hate for the Giants is similar to my hate for the Eagles so if the Eagles had won the SB last year I wouldn't be that excited for this upcoming season either
Mr. Television 07-04-2012, 05:50 AM I think there are a lot of closeted Eagles fans at ESPN. It's the only way to explain it. When The Cowboys underachieve ESPN is all over them. The Eagles have underachieved alot more and yet they are still the media's darlings. :ohno:

Exactly, they start out 1-5 and it's WHAT IS WRONG??? This can't be the REAL EAGLES
If the Cowboys start 1-5, IS TONY ROMO OVERRATED? WILL JASON GARRETT BE FIRED?

Well Solomon, it's not all bad, because Marcellus and that other dude agreed that Tony Romo would be the MVP of the division. That's should be enough for you.
Another note, I know the Gmen are the world champs and I give them their props, but that show seemed like the Giants show, especially when they showed the top ten plays of the year, the Giants dominated that.
Another note, from my point of view ESPN loves the whole divsion execpt for Washington. Philly, Giants, and Dallas gets all the media love and hype, so if anyone should be griping, it's me. We had the least segment on the show. We have been in last place in the div, but we always play team tough.

Who has had great plays last year besides the Cowboys and Giants? And it's up to RG3 to make the Skins relevant again like they were in the early 90's. He has to do what Mcnabb did for the eagles in 2000.

It's not just up to RG3, it's up to the whole team. It is QB league nowadays, so it does start with him.

Wrong, in 2000 the Eagles had no weapons on offense and Mcnabb put the team on his back and carried them to the playoffs. Now I won't judge him too much this year but I expect the skins to have a winning record next season
