It's not the TV show you want. It's the PLOT of an episodes. Here is an example:

Three's Company
Season 2 Episode
'Out with the old'
Stalney wants to get rid of the bird and Jack thinks he's getting rid of Helen.

"Love is just a four letter word"
Blair thinks she found the man of her dreams, until she finds out his "real" age.

Wouldn't it be better if you take just the general idea of the tv show plot and make a completely new episode out of that? What good would it be to just take old plots from episodes and make supposedly new episodes out of them? It almost sounds like playgerizing.

Thats what he meant. He meant to come up with plots for new episodes of whatever tv shows.

quick way to get ideas for a fanfiction story:

pick up the newspaper and see whats going on. this will give you all kinds of topics.

OR

take a story you saw on one show, and build it into a different show.

these well tested ideas work everytime! :)
