Desi Arnaz,who was the executive producer of the first black and white season(well,the first few episodes,anyway) of "The Lucy Show",stay on as executive producer the entire first season?

Desi sold out his interest in Desilu sometime late in 1962 and retired from the business for awhile, until he had his own production company in the mid-to-late 60s that produced The Mothers-in-Law. He executive-produced maybe the first 8 episodes of The Lucy Show before leaving the show and Desilu altogether.

I think the fact that his and Lucy's divorce was still fairly recent and that he still loved her it made it very difficult for Desi to work with her. I think that led to his decision to sell out his share of Desilu and retire from the business.
