View Full Version : Pamala Reed
Smartboy 07-01-2012, 04:28 PM I would like to commemorate the forty-nine views of my last thread by mentioning that, in 1949, actress Pamala Reed was born. Is anyone here familiar with her? She starred in a few flop shows back in the nineties. She was also in a few movies. I think she is quite talented. She is a pretty red head just like this show's Lauri Hendler.

What does she have to do with GAB? She was never on the show.

In the first place, just like "Gimme a Break's!" Lauri Hendler, Pamela Read is a pretty read head. This reality is something that I pointed out when I first started this thread. By the way, I am sorry that I originally spelled her name wrong. On top of this, when I first started this thread, the thread that I had started right before it had forty-nine views and zero replies. I decided to see if I could stimulate some conversation by writing about something that had to do with the number forty-nine. The year of Pamela Reed's birth was what happened to come to mind. Whenever long periods form between posts by anyone other than me, I try to get things started again by writing about something that has to do with the number of views of a previous thread that I had started. Sometimes, I write about a skit from "Sesame Street" that had to do with that number. This occasionally sparks a response. In any event, I am very happy to finally see a post by someone other than myself!

Well that is only a code that you can crack. The reason that GAB board is dead is because it isn't on TV. There are a lot of young people who has never heard of GAB and they never will unless a network add it to their lineup. The show need to get new viewers and then the board might pick up some steam because people will have things to talk about.
Smartboy 08-29-2013, 11:00 PM I just happen to see this old thread sitting on page three and decided to bring it to the top. Is anyone here familiar with Pamela Reed? If you are, please tell me what you think of her and the things that she has been in.

Laurie Hendler (Julie's) hair looks brown to me.

You could always look it up if you want.

I looked up the word and I am unable to understand where you got that from the content of this post. What is your train of thought here?
Edison 08-30-2013, 02:47 AM um..speaking of reed into : the best of times...
Wawwie 08-30-2013, 04:13 AM I have no idea who this woman is (Pamela Reed), and it still mystifies me as to why a thread has been dedicated to her on the GIMME A BREAK board.
Smartboy, you do create some strange threads on this board that you and only you understand. That's mostly why I asked you if you're bipolar.

Smartboy, you do create some strange threads on this board that you and only you understand. That's mostly why I asked you if you're bipolar.
The first thing that I would like to address is the fact that you have no idea who Pamela Reed is. Two sitcoms that she starred in were "Grand" and "The Home Court". Both of these were on NBC, both were in the nineties and neither of them lasted very long. She was also a one-time guest in a lot of other shows and had parts in several movies.
Now we move to why I dedicated a thread to her on this board. The first thing that you have to understand is that I started it when this board was going through a very slow period. I was using every trick in the book to try and stimulate some conversation. The vast majority of the time, I was unsuccessful. In any event, one of my previous threads had forty-nine views and zero replies. I tried to think of something related to the number forty-nine to write about as a way of commemorating the number of views. The year that Pamela Reed was born is what happened to come to mind. In addition to being born in 1949, I also thought that the color of her hair was similar to that of Lauri Hendler who was Julie from this show. And so I threw that is there too.
Wawwie 09-01-2013, 08:03 PM Smartboy, this thread has 356 views now. Are you going to come up with a riddle for the number 356 now?

In the first place, I cannot think of any special about the number 356! On top of that, I can see that the number of views of this thread has now climbed to 361!

I see that your location is London. I would imagine that means London, England. I did not think that "Gimme a Break!" had ever been syndicated to England. I have corresponded with several people there who had never heard of it. Might you have, at one time lived in a country in which this show was broadcast?

All of that persons posts say the exact same thing. I seriously doubt that lethacark5 has ever even seen Gimme A Break.

lethacark5 always posts the same thing in every thread. Then he/she gets banned, suspended or whatever. But he/she always comes back to do the same thing!
