I was wondering if there are any examples of an American creating show(s) in Canada and then returning to the USA and creating shows here?

The only example I can find so far was Fred Rogers. He created the series Misterogers for the CBC, and came back to the states a few years later and created Mister Roger's Neighborhood.

One of his crew members was a young man named Ernie Coombs who would use the show as a launching pad for his own legendary children's series "Mr Dressup".
