Mackenzie was very important to the show, actually all 3 women were. Once she was fired for the 2nd time for drug abuse, was it neccessary to cancel the show entirely?

It was practically over anyway at that time. Mac was fired in October 1983 and the show ended in May 1984. I think Bonnie and Valerie had already said by mid-season that they were leaving the show at the end of the season.

Yea I agree. I liked how they included a flashback of her on the last episode when Ann was getting ready to leave the apartment for the last time.

Maybe one of these days if ODAAT is ever shown again, I'll finally be able to see that episode. I know after I watched the episode that Ann left, I felt that was the end. I didn't even bother to watch the Schneider pilot. :lol:
