Bryan Cranston and Ellen DeGeneres are among the stars to be honored on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 2013, reports Access Hollywood.

In addition to Cranston and DeGeneres, the other actors set to be immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard are Javier Bardem, Simon Baker, Katey Sagal, Matthew Perry, Jane Lynch and Olympia Dukakis. Performers Penn & Teller, makeup artist Rick Baker, filmmaker Ron Howard, radio personalities Steve Harvey and "Shotgun" Tom Kelly will also be honored along with musicians New Kids on the Block, Janis Joplin, Usher, Thalia, Luther Vandross and Jane's Addiction.

CSI's Marg Helgenberger and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the 24 new inductees in a press conference on Friday.

That's awesome and Matthew deserves it!

Nothing against Matthew Perry or the other honorees but in my opinion they give out stars to too many people these days and give them out too easily. The result is that a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame no longer has the same cachet or value that it used too. Nor is it as much of an honor as it used to be to receive one.

Not only that- but it's something the star themselves pay for. And some of the biggest names out there don't have one, because they don't want one.
